MDA LEADERSHIP CONSULTING ADDS HENNESSY AND SHEAR AS SENIOR CONSULTANTS AND EXECUTIVE COACHES
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 15, 2004 – MDA Leadership Consulting announced today that Kate Hennessy, M.A., and Kerri B. Shear, M.A., L. P., have joined the firm as senior consultants and executive coaches. Hennessy and Shear will offer their experience and expertise to MDA Leadership’s talent management and leadership development practice areas.
A former client of MDA Leadership, Hennessy joins the firm with 20 years of experience in talent management. She has done extensive work designing, developing and executing company-wide talent identification and succession planning, executive assessment and coaching, executive team building, and leadership development programs for companies such as United Health Group, ADC Telecommunications and Cargill. She also has served as a consultant with two international management consulting firms.

Hennessy has a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn., and an undergraduate degree in communication from the College of Saint Catherine.
A licensed psychologist, Shear has 20 years of experience and education in business, psychology, organizational development, and systems management that have given her an understanding of individual, team and organizational dynamics. She has expertise in using strategic talent management, psychological assessments, individual assessment and conflict resolution skills to help leaders develop new leaders, plan succession, manage performance, and build the effectiveness of their organizations. Shear was previously vice president and assessment practice leader at Right Management Consultants, and served in consulting roles with Personnel Decisions International and Wilson Learning Corporation. She has a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a bachelor’s degree in business management, both from the University of Minnesota, where she is currently a doctoral candidate in organizational development and adult education.
