Jeff Hinds gets a kick out of communicating assessment data in ways that are both meaningful and relevant, ensuring that clients can use the data to make informed business decisionshis ability to do this effectively and with enjoyment has resulted in a career path centered around the application of assessment for both development and selection. Clients describe Jeff as being relationship-focused, easy to relate to, a good listener, and highly empathicin the sense that he can quickly see things from others perspectives and communicate genuine appreciation for their needs, concerns, and experiences.

Prior to joining MDA in 2006, Jeff worked as a selection consultant for Target Corporation, helping senior leaders make smart hiring and promotion decisions. Before his return to the Twin Cities to work for Target, Jeff was the Chief of Psychological Services for the U.S. Air Force, where he led all assessment activities for the militarys second largest confinement facility. In addition, Jeff assisted commanders in selecting key personnel for classified missions. During the past decade, Jeff has provided assessment and selection services in a broad range of settings, including vocational, clinical, forensic, public service, and organizational.

Jeff graduated with distinction from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Psychology. His M.S. and Psy.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology are from the University of North Texas and the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, respectively.

Outside of the office, Jeff stays busy chasing two preschoolers. He and his wife are active in their church and take advantage of every opportunity they get to spend time on the lake in beautiful Okoboji, Iowa, where they met. Jeff is an avid runner; though, as a former standout sprinter, he has yet to adjust his pace to meet the demands of a marathonhe is content to run 5Ks. He is also an aspiring photographer and general sports enthusiast. Jeff is hoping to put together an unstoppable MDA bowling team!
