Lisa Gordon, Ph.D., L.P.

Consultant

Lisa enjoys applying the rigors of research to the practice of applied psychology to give organizations a meaningful and informed advantage in deciding how to leverage talent. Her particular interest is in the systematic use of assessment to inform decisions about leader selection, accelerate the development of high potential candidates, enhance team cohesion and alignment, and provide a mechanism by which leadership teams and organizations can examine themselves as they work to create organizational change.

Lisa has experience working within academic, government, mental health, and corporate settings. She has presented at the state, regional, national, and international levels. Her research has been featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune and New York Newsday newspapers, Minnesota Law and Politics magazine, and on the WCCO and Minnesota News Network radio stations in the Twin Cities.

Prior to joining MDA, her experience as an assessment consultant includes work at Personnel Decisions International, a global consulting firm, as well as in her private consulting practice. She has worked with some of the most distinguished organizations in their respective industries, including Target, Medtronic, Supervalu, Scotts Company, and Wells Fargo. She holds a B.A in Psychology and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She is a Licensed Psychologist and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Consulting Psychology.

Away from the office, Lisa is likely playing tennis, biking to parks and pools with her husband and two sons, reading, serving as Block Leader or doing other community-building activities within her neighborhood.
