David Donnay, Ph.D.

David's research and consulting career has focused on the long-term prediction of leadership and career success. He advises organizations on issues including selecting and developing talent through the programmatic use of assessments, designing and implementing competency models, leveraging 360-degree feedback to accelerate leadership and team development, using technology to enhance the delivery of assessment and training content, and evaluating impact from HR and training initiatives. Colleagues and clients depend on his extensive knowledge of assessment resources, and his ability to make assessment data relevant to organizations and their business decisions.

David's experience as an assessment consultant includes a range of collaborative efforts with well-known consulting organizations such as the Center for Creative Leadership, Right Management and CDR International as well as professional services engagements of varying size with Fortune 500 companies such as Sun Microsystems, Southwest Airlines, and Herman Miller.

Prior to joining MDA in 2006, he served as the divisional director of research for the test publisher, CPP, where he led research and development efforts that supported widely used assessment tools such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Strong Interest Inventory, and the California Psychological Inventory. His B.A. in Psychology is from Saint Johns University and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology is from Iowa State University.

Away from the office, David is a weekend athlete who enjoys playing and coaching soccer, hitting the links with friends, and biking along the rivers and lakes in the Twin Cities area. David also enjoys travel, cooking, and the challenges of parenting two young children.
