Who We Are

Peter Germann, MBA

Principal Consultant and Executive Coach

Peter Germann, MBA

Peter Germann brings an artful mix of intellect, experience, and intuition to his work in leadership consulting.  He loves to teach executives the fine art of creating change that lasts.  Peter has the natural talent to identify any organization’s culture, systems, and structure—and how they affect the day-to-day behaviors of the workforce.  Clients appreciate his calm, positive approach and his ability to focus the energy of top leaders on the activities that will drive the changes they desire.

Peter honed his approach by living through dynamic corporate change for almost two decades.  While working as a senior leader in human resources for Fortis Financial, he experienced four mergers and several significant strategy changes.  Through those experiences, he learned to coach employees and executives through the emotional and intellectual phases of change—with a focus on making sure their strategies, systems, structures, and processes are aligned with the results they intend to achieve.  He’s developed a wide range of coaching and analytical skills that help organizations become mission driven, client focused, and well aligned to achieve extraordinary results.

Peter came to MDA in 2001—and prior to that, he was a client, integrating MDA’s assessment services into change and leadership development initiatives.  He earned a B.A. in Business Management and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Away from the office, Peter is a devoted husband who’s coached his way through fatherhood dabbling in basketball, soccer, and golf for his son and two daughters.  He learned to stick up for himself by being the youngest of nine children—and he often reminded his parents that he’s glad they didn’t stop at eight.  It’s a good idea to ask Peter why he reads the box scores.
